Seriously considering the possibility that Patrick Roy decided the best possible troll of the league would be being actually good at coaching. (Alternatively, we shall all sing the small sample size song together as one, but that's less amusing.)


Reading some collected letters of P.G. Wodehouse and I don't know why I'm surprised, but yet somehow I didn't actually expect him to sound like Bertie Wooster all the time. He signs off letters with things like "cheerio, old scream, toodle-pip!" It's wonderful.

I am too boggled by the Avs to have much to contribute (although I thought - not following closely - that they did underperform last year?) but that is so great about P.G. Wodehouse!! I haven't read any Jeeves & Wooster, although I have seen some of the show, but I read a bunch of his books that deal with cricket when I was in my cricket phase (see icon). God, they're amazing, so much fun. I guess they seem to fit every possible English uppper class stereotype because we defined those stereotypes from his work! Everyone's all worried about playing cricket for their school, and being in the school's best eleven is the biggest deal ever, it's hilarious.

Avs did underperform a bit last year, though it's a complicated mix of injury issues and the fact that e.g. Matty Duchene didn't have an awful year, but when the D is that bad in general, there's not much to be done? I don't really believe in Roy's future success, for the record, but I do believe he takes joy in pissing people off with it.

Oh, the Mike and Psmith books? I LOVE those. (There's amazing fic for them, btw, if you're interested. :3)

Ha, I will probably continue to hope that Erik Johnson does not do well, but I'm fine with the rest of the D stepping up!

There is! surexit wrote some and it's WONDERFUL and there was some at Yuletide. It is all Mike/Psmith, as you might have guessed, what with their INCREDIBLE SLASHINESS. :D

I have. It's the best! It's a little nuts how in love Bourne is, but I guess I can't fault him. ;)
