I want to know who decided these photos were a good idea (link is only to one, but there are other, very similar pics of the rest of the prospective team out there, I'm just too lazy to refind them.) Who carefully decided that the flag went best with what's either business casual or dressy golf? No one looks not-dumb while wearing the flag as a blanket, but it's especially awful when you don't even look like you cared enough to dress up for your Dramatic Posing Nationalism Occasion.


Also beets were $2 for 10lbs so now I have roasted ALL THE BEETS and still have a million left. I could eat roasted beets forever, admittedly, but suggestions would be most welcome! So delicious!

This is true! I suppose I should give some credit to the photographer for that choice, haha. All these guys are far better at looking serious than they are at smiling without looking hunted.

I don't know about beets, but I was told by the lady at the farmer's market to scrub them off and bake them whole like potatoes (minus stabbing a million holes in them.) Is that the same as roasted beets?

Yup! I usually roll them in salt and oil beforehand because it makes them nicer, but roasting them is really straightforward.
