Nov. 20th, 2011 12:23 pmSo pleased with Friday's ep of Fringe. Let's be honest, I would watch a million episodes that were just people having serious conversations with each other about how awesome Olivia is.
I am also finding Amber!Lincoln's crush on Olivia adorable. I enjoyed the callback to Olivia's first date with Peter with the bit with her doing her hair and that even in a different universe she does it differently (hair up instead of down), but it's still all about her being the most practical.
Also, of course, totally different outcome what with Nina-Sharp-out-of-nowhere-with-noncon-drugs! Which is awesome on a plot level because who doesn't,/i> love another round of conspiracies, but sad on the level where I just want Olivia to be happy all the time and I liked her being close to Nina! Also on the level where I have to wait a million years to find out what will happen, which is hateful forever.
But oh show, you are still a happy place for me and I love that this is a show where you can have two guys discuss a woman they are both interested in and have it be all about her being brave and strong and awesome and neither of them even mention her looks (which, ok, Olivia is stunningly beautiful as well, but I find it hard to complain about that when I am enjoying the hell out of it and she is at least beautiful in flats and realistic professional work wear.) And Olivia and Astrid who aren't quite close friends in this universe, which makes me sad, but is also interesting because they definitely seem to be moving toward that and I feel like this is actually a show where I might believe their depiction of a developing female friendship.
